Cloning issues

Ok I’m having trouble keeping my Hippy Slayer alive.
I potted up a rooted clone into Strawbery Field soil and it fried. Thing is the clones next to it that I potted up into the same soil are thriving. So, I have 1 hippy slayer clone left still in a cup of litely nuted coco. I’m trying to think of what to put it in in hopes of healthy growth and keeping this strain going.

It’s strange, the fans leaves yellow at the ends and curl up. New growth is the last to go

I picked up a bag of Light Warrior thinking the girl is very mute sensitive suddenly. That might be a possible.

Have any of y’all Had similar and can offer advice?

Please and thank you

I may take a clone or 2 for the next 2-3 weeks in flower and see how they take vs the ones taken at flip
I’ll preface by saying I’ve never taken a cut. If everything goes to plan I’ll be taking my first several around the start of October.

I’m just curious, as far as cut and root development health what about taking cuts from flowering plants have an advantage? Is there not a vegging plant you can take cuts from at the moment? Do you think the flowering plants holding a wider range of mineral within it might root better?

The only time I’ve heard about taking cuts of flowering plants was CSI doing this to slow down the growth of the new cutting. The explanation of reasoning for this was that he’d extended the timeframe. Keeping that cut small as it transitions back to veg as a tiny clone so he can address the other million projects he’s working on.

They will root just fine most likely, they just take longer to transition to veg new growth than a cut before or at flip. Cloned many different cuts in first 1-3 weeks flowering for various reasons. If we are trying to save a cut, makes perfect sense. If we are taking cuts to veg for a week or 2 before flipping then not the best approach. IMO of course 🤟🏽

I had somebody do me a "favor" in the past and give me some flarefy reveged plants.. From that run those plants took up so much space only to find botrytis in the depths of the flarf. If you are growing the plant for hash production I could see monster cropping working out well but otherwise it think it's just a lot of Bio mass that makes the plant look massive. It was also one of those shitty plants that when the leaves are fully fried they still won't pluck.

The dude also gave me a massive thrip infestation along with the clones.. Passed em to me in a quick transition loading up clones in box's from his shop to my van in sub freezing temps. If i make it up to his hill again i'm putting my boot up his arse.

Sorry for the tangent, that was just a nightmare for me all and all.

I'll be the first to ask a stupid question... can you take more clones ASAP?

My first guess would be fungus gnats ....maybe a deficiency in the mother plant?

If you lose yours I got a backup for you but the problem here is what if yours is different and better than mine?
that’s very kind of you sir, thank you
Always a possibility
thans for stopping by

keeping mother plants and taking clones of said plants is much more efficient than growing from seeds…… in my world
What thread is @Teresa suggestion in?
i was wondering that too. lol

i’m figuring its a root issue. too wet or the solution is too strong…..

Fur sure, but without a second environment running I’ve been stuck to running dirty clones or autos to increase turn over rate. Getting things ready to start up a second environment so I can start keeping a few moms to take cuts off of.

i feel ya. Lately I’ve been not keeping moms and just taking clones of plants before they go into flower.

I think I may have a plan. I’m going to dissolve a tiny bit of Voodoo Juice PLus in a jug of water, put the hippy slayer clone into Light Warrior and water it with said solution. i honestly believe it’s a root issue and I’ve seen how the voodoo juice plus keeps the funk away. fingers crossed…...
