Yeah the taco seems to be known as a low profile strain . I found it lacked in scent but made up in flav , the nugs from mom were good but dad added those colors and bulked the final profile . I have 2 Wanda males that hold some high dank profile and sweet side , that i may introduce to spiffy up the gals fragrance , but all in all the fire from this cross is high end bud with stealth grow capabilities , also have a very fragrant asad x herri x killler queeen x cambodian with great structure that i will collect from as a possible donor .

I popped 5 of the Taco F3’s that came in the cabana box. 2 ladies with 2 different phenos was what I ran from those.

One was the pheno I believe curb was trying to lock down. Very nice greasy taco meat along side a really pleasant cilantro. Definitely plenty loud and translated to flavor nicely. Since I finished the jar I’ve wanted to pop more in attempt to find another like that girl.

The second was alright. But the profile was linear to the first but rather than cilantro it was soap. No meat was present. This plant was also a neat mutant from the start though. It had 3 branches coming off of each node.

Both pheno’s had really nice OG type effect.

The soap to cilantro profile is very interesting since people often taste soap when eating cilantro depending on (I think) human genetics.

@Pa-Nature , I’m drooling over those Taco x Pure Michigan. You’ve got my vote for the September POTM

My wifes sister has that soapy cilantro taste condition
 
Quick google search says

The OR6A2 gene, or olfactory receptor family 6 subfamily A member 2, encodes a protein that detects odorant molecules and is a member of the G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family. A common genetic variation in this gene is strongly linked to the perception of cilantro (coriander) as having an unpleasant, soapy taste
 
I wonder if the cilantro pheno would taste soapy to people with the OR6A2 gene? Would the soapy profile or similar profiles on plants like zoap be unbearable?

Questions to ponder as I hit the bong two tree more times 🤔
